There are several cases in which you need to see the install date of your Windows 7 operating system. This can be accomplished quite easy as in the case of uptime.
- First you need to open a command prompt by clicking on the Start orb then on Run (if the Run command is not present in the Start menu head here to find out how to make it visible or press the Windows Key+R) then type cmd and hit enter. You can also open the command prompt by clicking on the Start orb and typing cmd in the search box.
- Type systeminfo|find “install date” /i and press enter. The information you seek should appear.
